Teaching “no”

In my humble opinion, teaching “no” is the challenge to humanity which is greater than the concept of “speaking truth to power”   In reality truth does not change, so it needs no champion. Where, if humans don’t learn other humans then nature will do the teaching.

I believe the quote, “Today is a good day to die.” loses proper meaning when quoted out of context. A more complete version would be “Today is a good day to be alive, so that I may sacrifice for my people.”
Honorable John Conyers  Jr,
My humble thanks and appreciation for teaching the concept of “no” during the course of your storied career. Waiting around for teachable moments takes stamina and determination. “No, you may not disrespect my humanity, my sex, my race.  No you may not unlawfully take my life, nor my labor.”

Praise Jesus !!!
